Who we are
Cost of Cyber Insurance publishes independent insurance cost research at costofcyberinsurance.com. For any privacy question, write to privacy@costofcyberinsurance.com.
What we collect
- Calculator inputs. Everything you type into a calculator is processed in your browser. We do not send those values to our servers and we do not store them.
- Basic analytics. Aggregate page views, referrers, approximate country and device type. We use this to understand which pages are useful.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
- Local storage. Some site preferences are stored in your browser and never leave your device.
Advertising and cookies
This site is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google uses advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of third party vendor cookie use by visiting aboutads.info. Blocking cookies in your browser settings will also work, although some site features may behave differently.
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before any advertising or analytics cookies are set, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Legal basis and your rights
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on legitimate interests for basic analytics and on your consent for advertising cookies. You have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to processing and to complain to your supervisory authority. Residents of California may request details of any personal information shared and may opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information.

We share data only with the service providers who host the site, deliver advertising and process analytics. Email correspondence is kept for up to 24 months. Aggregate analytics are kept for up to 26 months.
